This kit includes a bottomless portafilter, a calibrated tamper with interchangeable springs, a dosing funnel with integrated puck screen, and an adjustable distributor. Priced at $139, it aims to provide barista-level consistency without requiring separate purchases. The set is tailored specifically for Breville's 58mm group head, ensuring precise fit and function. Whether you're troubleshooting channeling or seeking more control over your espresso routine, this toolkit addresses common pain points.
Product Overview
The KNODOS set arrives as a coordinated bundle that simplifies the upgrade path for Breville owners. At the heart of the kit is the maple-handled bottomless portafilter, which replaces the standard spouted version to allow direct visualization of the extraction. This feedback helps users adjust grind size and distribution in real time. The included 58mm calibrated tamper features a spring-loaded mechanism with three pressure options: 15, 25, and 30 pounds. This allows customization to match the coffee roast and personal preference. The tamper's handle is also maple, matching the portafilter for a cohesive aesthetic. The dosing funnel doubles as a base for the included puck screen, which sits on top of the coffee puck to improve water distribution and keep the shower screen clean. The adjustable distributor levels grounds before tamping, reducing the chance of uneven extraction. All metal components are stainless steel, making them durable and easy to clean. The kit is compatible only with Breville models that use a 58mm portafilter, specifically the Dual Boiler, Oracle Jet, and Oracle Touch. It is not suited for Breville's Barista Express or other 54mm models. The maple wood handles add a warm touch to the typical stainless steel machine aesthetic. Overall, this set consolidates essential tools into one package, saving time and ensuring compatibility.

Build & Materials
The KNODOS espresso tool set is constructed from stainless steel and maple wood. The portafilter body and baskets are stainless steel, while the handle is turned maple with a smooth finish. The tamper's base is stainless steel with a maple handle, and the spring mechanism is housed entirely within the handle, keeping the exterior clean. The dosing funnel is stainless steel, and the puck screen is a fine mesh stainless steel disc. The adjustable distributor features a stainless steel base and an adjustable depth mechanism. All components feel solid and resist corrosion. The maple handles add a warm touch and improve grip compared to all-metal tools. Maintenance is straightforward: rinse the portafilter and baskets after use, wash the puck screen periodically, and wipe the tamper and distributor dry. The set does not include a cleaning brush, but each part is easy to clean by hand.
