KNODOS 58mm Rocket Accessories Kit E61 Bottomless Portafilter Espresso Tamper Distributor Tamping Station Puck Screen Funnel Premium Walnut Espresso Tools Barista Kit

Product Overview

The KNODOS kit is built around compatibility with 58mm espresso machines featuring E61 group heads, including popular models from Rocket, ECM, Profitec, Lelit, and Quick Mill. The centerpiece is a bottomless portafilter with a walnut handle and a double shot basket, which allows visual monitoring of extraction to identify channeling or uneven flow. The included tamper is calibrated to deliver 30 pounds of pressure, helping achieve consistent compaction shot after shot. An adjustable distributor levels the coffee bed before tamping, reducing the risk of uneven extraction. The dosing funnel sits on the portafilter to contain grounds during distribution, minimizing mess. The magnetic puck screen sits on top of the coffee puck to improve water distribution and keep the group head clean. The tamping station provides a stable base for tamping and features storage slots for the tamper, distributor, funnel, and screen. All wooden components are made from walnut, adding a warm, professional aesthetic to any countertop. The kit comes as a set of six items, each designed to work together seamlessly. While the kit is primarily aimed at Rocket owners, its compatibility extends to any 58mm E61 machine, making it a versatile upgrade for espresso enthusiasts.

Build & Materials

Each tool in the KNODOS Rocket Accessories Kit is constructed with a focus on durability and aesthetics. The portafilter, tamper, distributor, and tamping station feature genuine walnut wood handles or bases, giving the set a cohesive, premium look. The metal components are stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and easy to clean. The tamping station has a weighted base that prevents sliding during use, and the storage slots are precisely machined to hold each tool securely.

The dosing funnel uses a magnetic ring to attach to the portafilter, ensuring a snug fit without slipping. The puck screen is also magnetic, adhering to the group head for convenient placement. All edges are smooth, and the wooden parts are sealed to resist moisture and coffee oils. Maintenance is straightforward: wash metal parts with mild soap and water, and wipe wood with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking the wood to maintain its finish.

Shot Quality

While user reviews are not yet available, the design of the KNODOS kit promises meaningful improvements in shot consistency. The bottomless portafilter provides immediate visual feedback, allowing baristas to spot and correct flaws like channeling or uneven extraction. The calibrated tamper and adjustable distributor work together to create a uniformly dense puck, which is critical for even water flow. Early adopters and demonstration videos suggest that the combination reduces variability and helps users dial in their grind size and dose more efficiently.

The magnetic puck screen may also contribute to cleaner shots by dispersing water evenly across the puck surface and preventing coffee grounds from rising into the group head. Over time, this can reduce the need for frequent backflushing. The dosing funnel minimizes mess, making workflow faster and more enjoyable. Overall, the set is designed to elevate shot quality from good to excellent, especially for those transitioning from pressurized to non-pressurized baskets.
