Amazon Renewed Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima by De'Longhi Review — Review
The Amazon Renewed Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima by De'Longhi offers a second-life chance at a premium capsule coffee machine. Designed for convenience, it combines the Vertuo brewing system with an integrated milk frother for lattes, cappuccinos, and hot foam. With six coffee sizes ranging from single espresso to 18 oz carafe, it covers a wide spectrum of daily coffee needs. The machine heats up in 30 seconds and features a detachable, dishwasher-safe milk tank for easy cleaning. However, being a renewed (refurbished) unit, condition and performance can vary. Our analysis of available data and a single customer review warns of possible defects. This review examines features, build, and value to help you decide if the savings justify the risk.
Product Overview
The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is a fully automatic capsule espresso machine available in white. It operates exclusively with Nespresso Vertuo capsules, which use barcode technology to adjust brewing parameters for each capsule. This enables five coffee sizes (5, 8, 12, 18 fl oz) plus single and double espresso, all hot or over ice. The integrated milk tank holds 16 fl oz and attaches to the machine for one-touch milk foam. The tank detaches and is dishwasher safe, simplifying upkeep. The machine sports an adjustable drip tray to accommodate different cup heights. A descaling alert notifies you when it's time to clean, and an auto shut-off feature conserves energy. At 1500 watts and 120 volts, it heats water quickly. The unit weighs 14 pounds and has a capacity of 3.8 pounds (likely water tank volume). The machine supports Bluetooth connectivity (though not detailed for what purpose). Included components are the machine, milk frother, and a welcome pack of Vertuo capsules. The renewed product comes with a 90-day limited warranty. A single customer review reported a malfunction and incomplete order, highlighting potential risks of buying renewed. For the price of $299.99, buyers should weigh the savings against the possibility of defects. Available in white only.

Build & Materials
The Vertuo Lattissima features a compact white plastic body with a glossy finish. The milk tank attaches to the right side and is made of clear plastic with volume markings. The adjustable drip tray accommodates tall cups. The machine's front has a button panel for coffee size selection and milk functions. Overall build is typical for Nespresso machines – decent but not premium.
The renewed unit may show signs of use, but Amazon Renewed claims it's tested and works like new. The 90-day warranty offers limited peace of mind. The milk tank is the only part that sees heavy cleaning; other components are easy to wipe down. The machine is reasonably compact at about 14 pounds, fitting on most countertops.
Shot Quality
The Nespresso Vertuo system is known for producing coffee with a thick crema layer. The Lattissima adds milk frothing capability. According to manufacturer claims, the machine delivers consistent temperature and pressure. However, the single customer review reported that the unit malfunctioned, so actual performance may vary with renewed condition.
The 30-second heat-up is standard for capsule machines. The milk frother produces frothed milk but not microfoam like professional steam wands. The machine is quiet during brewing. For a renewed unit, buyers should test all functions upon arrival. The Bluetooth connectivity may offer firmware updates, but details are sparse.
Pros and Cons
What Works
- ✓Wide variety of coffee sizes (5 to 18 oz)
- ✓One-touch milk frother for lattes and cappuccinos
- ✓30-second heat-up time
- ✓Detachable, dishwasher-safe milk tank
- ✓Descaling alert for easy maintenance
- ✓Autoshut-off and Bluetooth connectivity
What Doesn't
- ✗Only compatible with Nespresso Vertuo capsules
- ✗Renewed condition may have defects or malfunctions
- ✗Single review reported incomplete order and non-working unit
- ✗90-day warranty is shorter than new models
- ✗Milk tank capacity (16 oz) may be small for heavy use
The Verdict
The Amazon Renewed Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima offers convenience and versatility at a reduced price, but the condition of renewed units is a significant risk. The single customer review suggests possible defects, and the short 90-day warranty may not cover issues after that. If you're willing to gamble, it could be a great deal. However, for reliability, consider buying new or checking the return policy carefully.
